Are you ready for Halloween in Chicago? There is so much to choose from, and at Atwater Chicago you are in the middle of it all!

Franken Plaza

Whether you are looking for family-friendly or more adult celebrating, there is a choice for you. Here are some of your spooky options:

  • Visit Franken Plaza (Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington) this Halloween season for entertainment including movie nights, dance, theater and much more!
  • Navy Pier hosts the Really Big Halloween Party on Fridays through Sundays until Oct. 31. Hay rides, petting zoo and all sorts of entertainment will be available. A costume contest will be Tuesday, Oct. 27. The children’s costume judging will take place at 3 p.m. and the adult competition is at 7:30 p.m. Trick-or-treating will be Monday, Oct. 26 (from 4 – 8 p.m.), Tuesday, Oct. 27 (12 – 4 p.m.), Wednesday, Oct. 28 (12 – 4 p.m.), and Halloween, of course (4 – 8 p.m.)
  • The Chicago Halloween Gathering on Saturday, Oct. 24 is an all-day festival ending with a nighttime parade from Michigan Avenue from the Chicago River south to Roosevelt Road. The parks and institutions along the Chicago Cultural Mile will be alive with family-friendly activities including mask-making workshops, free performances, pop-up installations, interactive experiences and more! The parade is from 6-8 p.m.
  • Lincoln Park Zoo hosts the Spooky Zoo Spectacular on Oct. 24 with kids’ trick or treating from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Learn fun facts about the animals, make crafts, collect treats and enjoy entertainment.
  • Navy Pier also hosts The Haunted Halloween Ball in the Grand Ballroom Oct. 31 at 8 p.m. for ages 21 and up. Entrance includes admission to the Saints & Sinners party at Lakeview Terrace.
  • For something more adult friendly, try the Halloween Pub Crawl. Enjoy free admission and drink specials at the stops along the crawl.
