Magnificent Mile Lights Festival Nov. 21

The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival includes a day full of activities on Saturday, Nov. 21 including a tree lighting parade on North Michigan Avenue, from Oak Street to Wacker Drive.
The parade steps off at 5:30 p.m.

Christmas Tree Lighting Nov. 24

This year you will find the City of Chicago’s 102nd Christmas Tree in Millennium Park near the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Washington Street. The 2015 tree will be unveiled at the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 24 in Millennium Park beginning with a program at 5:30 p.m. and the official lighting at 6 p.m. Renée Fleming will headline the performances, which will include Danielle de Niese and the cast of “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”

The McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade Nov. 26

The McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade is on Thanksgiving morning Nov. 26 from 8 until 11 a.m. It is on State Street and begins at Congress and moves northbound to Randolph. Early spectators start to arrive between 6 and 7 a.m. You can also watch from the comfort of home on WGN 9 Chicago.
