Enjoy mouth melting tapas and other cuisines at Proxi.

Chicago is a melting pot of peoples and cuisines, which is why Proxi fits right in. It debuted in the West Loop about eight weeks ago with a unique menu of globally inspired tapas. Proxi's chef uses street foods from all across the world as the muses for these inventive and unique small plates.

Since the dishes are designed for sharing, order a few to pass around the table. Try the roasted eggplant dip with tahini and pomegranate, served with pita chips or dipping, or opt for the roasted monkfish with clams and Spanish chorizo. Dig into wagyu sirloin with Thai herb salad and roasted rice powder or opt for the coal-roasted oysters with ssamjang butter. Add an equally innovative cocktail, such as the Don't Chouette It with Aperol and blood orange-champagne ice cubes. You may also want to save some room for a gourmet dessert, like the Mexican chocolate semifreddo or the avocado mousse.
