Take in Some Culture and History at the Chicago Cultural Center

Enjoy daily cultural programs at Chicago Cultural Center.

Chicago is home to the Chicago Cultural Center, the first free municipal cultural venue in the US and a piece of American history. What was once a public library and Civil War memorial is now a cultural centerpiece showcasing the impressive artists throughout Chicago.

The center has daily programs that you can enjoy during your visit, from musical and dance performances to visual arts and more. The structure itself is as impressive as the art featured within, with two large domed ceilings covering a building finished with imported marble, wood and mosaics of glass and stone. Perhaps you’ve been lucky enough to be invited to a wedding or other event at the Chicago Cultural Center, but if not, don’t let it keep you from visiting to appreciate the architecture. Take a look at the extensive events calendar online to find yet another reason for a visit.
