High-quality seafood and prime steaks at Ocean Prime

Chicago certainly isn’t lacking in upscale eateries, but there’s a new standout on the Magnificant Mile: Ocean Prime. The steak and seafood restaurant made its Windy City debut a few days ago, an offshoot of a chain with locations in major cities all across the country. It lives up to the reputation earned by its predecessors with a menu of high-quality seafood and prime steaks.

Stop in for happy hour to try some of the smaller bites for half-off. Share the surf and turf appetizer, a combination of sea scallops and slow-braised short ribs, and the Point Judith calamari served with sweet chili sauce. Try the Prime roll, stuffed with tempura shrimp and topped with beef carpaccio, or the lobster roll, featuring poached lobster tail, kiwi, pickled serrano, masago, and spicy mango puree. Wash down the noshes with a Manhattan, Black Orchid, or Pineapple Picante cocktail.
