Check out the one-of-a-kind botanical garments at Fleurotica.

You’ve probably never seen anything quite like the fashion that will be on display at Fleurotica. The materials designers use are unconventional, to say the least. In place of flowing silks and rich velvets, plants, flowers, and other natural materials make up the one-of-a-kind botanical garments.

They’re designed by Chicago’s top floral artists, landscape designers, and students, and showcased on one night only: Friday, October 18th at the Fleurotica fashion show. From the Vitruvian Fine Art Studio to Northwestern University’s Plant Biology and Conservation Program, a wide variety of organizations will be represented. The show takes place at the Garfield Park Conservatory, which is only fitting given that the event also benefits the conservatory. The evening begins with cocktails and small bites at 6:30 p.m., followed by the fashion show featuring 18 stunning looks. Tickets are $175.
