Enjoy Chicago's newest ramen eateries at Menya Goku.

A hot, steaming bowl of ramen noodles might be just what you're craving. If so, consider heading over to Menya Goku, one of Chicago's newest ramen eateries. The menu here is pretty simple: ramen is the main focus, and you'll be able to build your bowl starting with your choice of four basic broths (pork, spicy pork, chicken, and vegan). Add-ons include pork belly, fresh eggs, fried onion, black mushrooms, and much more.

While the menu is fairly traditional, the decor at this restaurant is decidedly modern. You'll find a massive, wood-topped counter running down one side of the dining room (popular with folks wanting to pop in for a quick bite to eat), while the other side features a line of cozy booths that are designed to feel like small, private rooms. Yelp reviewers say this setup makes the restaurant work equally well for a casual meal with friends or a romantic date with someone special once the health crisis is behind us. For now, you can order delivery or arrange for contactless curbside pick-up.
