Even if you attended last year’s sold-out event, you’ll want to come back to see what’s in store for the 2021-2022 season. You can count on the Lightscape at Chicago Botanic Garden.
Parts of your holiday traditions may still be in limbo this year, but one you can count on is the Lightscape at Chicago Botanic Garden. The outdoor display has already begun to welcome guests back this year, following all COVID-19 safety protocols from both the state and the county to ensure its guests are as safe as possible.
Now through January 2nd, the Chicago Botanic Garden’s newly designed Lightscape path will glow to life each evening. Even if you attended last year’s sold-out event, you’ll want to come back to see what’s in store for the 2021-2022 season. Stroll through the ever Insta-worthy glowing tunnel and a forest of trees drenched in twinkling lights, then you might stumble upon ethereal androids with glittering disco balls for heads and lights stretched into well-known constellations. Colorful laser beams, giant glowing flowers, artfully arranged firepits—they’re all waiting for you at the Lightscape at Chicago Botanic Garden. Admission starts at $24 for adults and tickets are timed to avoid overcrowding within the walkable display. For an extra fee, you can spring for a flex ticket, which allows you to enter at any time on a given evening and also includes parking.
